About Mr. Mark

Mr Mark Williams is our current Years 7 -9 Mathematics teacher in the Secondary school and also the MYP Coordinator. He has 28 years teaching experience and this is his 10th in China having taught as an Upper Primary generalist and a Middle School specialist in Shanghai for over 7 years. He has taught Humanities, Science, Math, English and PE in the middle school and is very active in outdoor education leading events such as the recent Year 8/9 trip to Shanghai and Hangzhou and also the first camping experience by ZIS students. Born in Fiji, Mark grew up and attended university in New Zealand and he has also taught in Indonesia, Australia and England. His interests include a range of sports including golf, tennis, rugby, cricket and athletics. Mark was selected to represent New Zealand in an international road relay and was an accomplished marathon runner. He is widely traveled and intends to take every opportunity to further explore Asia. Mark and his family are very much a part of the Zhuhai International School community.

About Mr. Matt

Hello my name is Matt Gollins I am married to Tania and have two young children Emily and Finn who both attend ZIS. I graduated from Otago University in New Zealand with a Bachelor of Education and Diploma of Teaching and now been teaching for 15 years. I have taught in New Zealand, England and Australia.

I enjoy the outdoors and thoroughly enjoy either playing or refereeing rugby. During the winter I love to snow board and during the summer waterskiing is a favourite pastime of mine. I have traveled extensively through Europe, Southern Africa, Nepal and India. I am looking forward to traveling through China over the next few years. I am committed to developing good teaching practices to ensure excellent outcomes for all my students.
